\"\"<\/a>BuchScout is happy to announce that \u201cLOS PEQUENOS AMORES\u201d<\/strong> the latest film from Celia Rico<\/strong> who made a splash at\u00a0the 2018 San Sebastian Festival with \u201cJourney to a Mother\u2019s Room,\u201d has been acquired for international sales by Spain-based\u00a0Latido Films<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Celia Rico won the Female Scriptwriter’s Residency Berlin<\/strong> – a collaboration between the European Women’s Audiovisual Network (ewa) and BuchScout Agency Berlin – in 2020 and was script advised by Suzanne Pradel<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The film was produced by Barcelona-based\u00a0Arcadia Motion Pictures<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Rico\u2019s second feature is set in a bucolic countryside. It weighs in as a mother-daughter two-hander sparked after strongly independent mother Ani falls over walking the dog and is forced to use a wheelchair to get around.\u00a0Daughter Teresa cuts short a vacation to come to her side, their co-habitation grating and revealing multiple \u2013 sometime generational \u2013\u00a0differences as the film peels back the layers of their relation, exposing both women\u2019s ambitions and fears.<\/p>\n

Adriana Azores<\/strong> (\u201cGrand Hotel,\u201d \u201cVelvet\u201d) plays Ani, Mar\u00eda V\u00e1zquez<\/strong> (\u201cEye for an Eye,\u201d \u201cOffworld\u201d) is Teresa.<\/p>\n

Spain-based platform Filmin, RTVE<\/strong> and Catalonia regional pubcaster TVC<\/strong> boarded the project early on in production. Rico\u2019s feature is also backed by Spain\u2019s ICAA<\/strong> and Catalonia\u2019s ICEC<\/strong>, the territories\u2019 film-TV agencies, as well as France\u2019s CNC<\/strong> and European Union\u2019s Media Programm<\/strong>. “Los peque\u00f1os amores\u201d is scheduled for release in 2023.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
